Outland Entertainment to Acquire Tales From The Magician’s Skull

Outland Entertainment to Acquire Tales From The Magician’s Skull April 24, 2024 – Goodman Games and Outland Entertainment are pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement for Outland Entertainment to take over publication of Tales From The Magician’s Skull. Issue #12 is the final issue to be published by Goodman Games. Beginning with issue #13, Outland Entertainment will take over publication. All existing subscriptions from issue #13 onward will be fulfilled by Outland Entertainment. Fans can follow the preview link for the next Tales From The Magician’s Skull project on Kickstarter right now. “Tales From The Magician’s Skull has become the pre-eminent voice for modern sword & sorcery fiction,” said Joseph Goodman of Goodman Games. “Editor-in-chief Howard Andrew Jones has done a fantastic job finding amazingly talented writers, and Lester the Layout Wizard and our contributing artists have made it the best looking fiction magazine since Weird Tales. Weinbaum by Ngo Vinh-Hoi Not many authors can be credited with changing the entire trajectory of a genre, yet Stanley Grauman Weinbaum managed to do so with his very first published science fiction story A Martian Odyssey. The story first appeared in the July 1934 issue of the science fiction pulp magazine Wonder Stories, which was a distant third in popularity to Astounding Stories and Amazing Stories. Forty years later, no less a figure than Isaac Asimov would declare that “hidden in this obscure magazine, A Martian Odyssey had the effect on the field of an exploding grenade.
